Webelos Scouts advance by earning activity badges. There are 20 Activity Badges, each focusing on a different subject in the areas of physical skills, mental skills, community, technology and the outdoors. The activity badges form the basis of the Webelos Scout Program with each activity badge presenting an array of hands-on activities and fascinating information that will enrich his life.
Typically the entire den works on one activity badge each month. The requirements and plans will be gone over in the den and then the boy will complete parts of the requirements at home, bringing his projects back to complete the badge and share what he has done or learned.
Activity Badges are colorful metal emblems (pins) that are earned each time you complete the requirements for one of the 20 activity badges. They are pinned onto the plaid front panel of the Webelos cap or pinned to the Webelos colors which are optional.
Notes: Those marked with a * are required for the Webelos rank badge. Those marked with a ** are required for the Arrow of Light.
