Welcome Tigers!!

TIger CubI want to again welcome our Tiger cubs as well as all our new cubs and returning cubs. I hope everyone had a great summer. The Tiger Cubs had a fantastic first den meeting. We chose rules for our den, and then the whole pack went over their individual den rules to combine them into our pack rules. I look forward to seeing you all next week and working with the Tigers throughout the scouting season.  We’re going to have a fun filled, educational year! See you all next week.  🙂

Collections: Tigers, Wolves & Bears

Time for Collections!

Collecting is an important part of growing up and tonight the boys get to share about what they like to collect and tell why it is special to them.

So Tigers, Wolves and Bears don’t forget a piece of your collection to show and share with the group.  Tonight we will learn more about each other and what we like while having fun and seeing new things.

Academics and Sports Program

With the many upcoming events, such as the end of school, summer sports, and of course our own Blue & Gold ceremony, I wanted to take some time to go over some additional achievements the boys can accomplish throughout the school year and in their summertime activities.  They can earn special pins and belt loops for many activities and interests they are already involved in.  It can also be an incentive for the boys to try out new things.  There is a list in the back of the Tiger Cub Book, pgs 153- 155, for the available categories.  The boys can earn these not only as Tiger Cubs, but even as they move up the Cub Scout ranks.  The requirements and worksheets for each achievement can be found online @ http://meritbadge.org/wiki/index.php/Cub_Scout_Worksheets

If you have any questions feel free to contact me at any time.

Tiger Cubs – 03/05/12

TIger Cub         Monday the boys will be making their picture frames to accomplish elective #4.  Please remember to have them bring a standard size photo (3½x5, 4×6, or 5×7) of a family or special event.  If you do not have physical print or duplicate on hand I can print them for the boys.

Also please make sure the boys bring their Tiger Scout Books so we can record any new activities/accomplishments the boys have made recently.

Thanks,

Chris Campagna

First Aid Training

Don’t forget that on Monday that Cub Scout pack 155 we will have an official Red Cross Instructor as a guest instructor offering two child oriented Red Cross First Aid courses for the Tiger Cubs, Wolf Cubs and Bear Cubs. These courses are First Aid for Children Today (FACT) and Basic Aid Training (BAT).  These courses will help complete the requirements for the Emergency Preparedness Award as well as provide the boys with something more in depth and valuable than their book requirements.

The Webelos will get First Aid & CPR in a few months.

Parents: Please be sure that your boys bring their handbooks.  Tomorrow is a great opportunity to go over what they have covered and what they still need to work on.

Boys: Please remember to bring your pocket first aid kits & a pencil.
